Miniature Pinscher Breed Information

Miniature Pinscher was originally developed in German. They were bred from Italian Greyhound, German Pinscher and Dachshund. They were used in the earlier days to hunt rats and other small vermin. They are also known as King of the toys. They are very competitive in nature. This breed is square in shape, and also very small in size. They have a flat skull, and tapering muzzle. They are teeth forms scissor bite. Their ears are usually cropped and set erect. They have small feet. Their tails are docked after birth. The coat covering the body of this breed is short and also smooth in texture. They are available in black and brown combination, chocolate and tan combination, and also red and black combination. They are very courageous in nature. They are very loyal as well as devoted to their master. They are very intelligent and also smart. They get along well with kids and also other dogs. If not properly trained they will tend to become stubborn, and also demanding. They should be properly socialized or else they can be aggressive around other dogs and also strangers. At times they can be very protective of their master and also family. They are very keen to please and also quick learners, and hence they can be easily trained. They are great choice as companion dogs. They are very suitable for apartment life. They can remain active both indoors and also outdoors. You should make sure that they are properly exercised. Proper exercise can make your dog mentally as well as physically stimulated. They should be taken out for walks and also jogs. You can also occasionally give an off the leash play in the park to your miniature pinscher. The average height and weight for a healthy male Miniature pinscher is 26 cm to 32 cm and 4kg to 5 kg respectively. In case of female Miniature pinscher, the average height and weight is 25 cm to 28 cm and 3 kg to 4 kg. They only require minimum grooming. They should be brushed and combed daily. Their ears should be checked for any signs of infection. The average life expectancy of this breed is 15 years
